Hello friends!
Just thought I'd send out a quick letter while I meditate on tonight's eclipse. I've been thinking that we collect a lot of clutter, but that doesn't just happen in our homes or in our minds, but in the sheer amount of information we hoard. We are like little sponges, we soak up everything we can get, espescially about what we love. The problem, as with all clutter, comes when we don't know when (or how!) to get rid of it. So as we move into tonight's eclipse in Aries, I'd like you to sort through the astrological messaging you may have seen around it. Here are some exercises to remove some of the clutter swirling around in your brain. :)
- Write down a list of alllll the things you've heard about tonight's eclipse (or even eclipses in general). Next to each list point, write down your thoughts on the matter. Do you really think that eclipses are hectic? Are eclipses weirdly calm for you, but only if they're partial eclipses? Are they really a time of rebirth? Play around with it. Write down all your doubts and fears.
- Now, write down if you think some of the things you've heard are maybe just like... a little bogus (just a little!) Write down some of the things you think are true, or have a grain of truth to them. You can even put a check mark by these and an X by the ones you don't believe. Maybe put an asterisk by the things you aren't sure are true or not. It's okay to be unsure! Remember, we're just sorting through the clutter.
- Do a quick scan of your list. What are the things you find a little weird, deep in your heart? What are the things you find to be true? Rewrite your list with what you know to be true.
- If you want, add personal theories or hypotheses to your list. Check back in two weeks and see if any of it came to fruition.
- The goal of this exercise is to get you back to what you think. Don't put your spiritual practice in the hands of someone else. How has astrology, and eclipses, for that matter, shown itself in your life? What do you think? What do you believe? You have a lot more power in your life than you know, and a lot more say in how it goes.
Sometimes we have sooooo much clutter in our lives that we can find it hard to put it away or throw it out. But that clutter has to go somewhere! Doing some cognitive offloading and putting all of your thoughts onto a page can really help you feel better. But I suppose this eclipse is happening in my sixth house, with the Moon in Aries. So maybe I'm just focused on clutter in general. ;) But as with all things health and sixth house, taking care of ourselves should be the top priority. What house does the eclipse happen in for you? How are you feeling? I hoped this little article helped. Maybe I'll send out little eclipse notes whenever there is one. But this one just got me thinking, so I figured I would write a short hello. To my friends celebrating Mid-Autumn festival, I hope it's lots of fun and a great time of reunion for you! Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
Love ya!
